
David Krell, Esq. a.k.a. The Writing Guy™ is a media historian and commentator with a deep passion for television history. In addition to creating Our Television Heritage™, David created the writing seminars Your Writing Is Your Brand™ and Stop Writing Like A Lawyer!™
In 2006, philanthropist Loreen Arbus hired David to consult on an exciting project at the Museum of TV & Radio (now Paley Center for Media). Ms. Arbus conceived the exhibit Leonard H. Goldenson: The Gentleman Giant to honor her father, ABC television network founder Leonard Goldenson. Through extensive research, David ensured the exhibit’s accuracy, integrity, and appeal to museum visitors.
David is a member of the bar in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. His column Krell’s Korner appears in the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Journal. The column focuses on the people, events, cases, and deals that shaped the entertainment, arts, and sports industries. David is also Co-Chair of the CLE Committee for the New York State Bar Association’s Business Law Section.
David has worked for Broadway Video, Golden Books Family Entertainment, and Classic Media. He builds histories of entertainment properties for copyright and trademark litigation, acquisition due diligence, and licensing opportunities. His projects help companies successfully clarify ownership, enforce intellectual property rights, and address vulnerabilities.
